McLaren Vale Old McDonald Grenache
Wine
S.C. Pannell McLaren Vale Old McDonald Grenache is made with dry grown, handpicked fruit from the McDonald Vineyard at Blewitt Springs in McLaren Vale, planted during the 1940s.
The fruit is traditionally vinified in small open top fermenters with up to 20% whole bunch inclusion. After nearly two weeks on skins, the wine is gently pressed and transferred to a large French oak vat for maturation.
An inky garnet, S.C. Pannell McLaren Vale Old McDonald Grenache is medium bodied with a dense core of fruit and fine but pervasive tannins. Cellaring potential is 20 years.
